The Monk and the General: A Parable
One of my viewers, “Trying Hard to Understand” recently shared with me this Zen parable that I tell here in this vlog. Like the poem “If“, this parable has a good lesson in it for all of us in the Deaf community as well as on DeafRead.

I like that one. Altho most monks were actually martial arts experts as they trained in that extensively as part of their meditation process and to be able to defend their monasteries, which the general perhaps could have learned. However, he wouldn’t learn as quickly as the overflowing cup
