Will we ever have a Deaf-centered President of Gallaudet?
I personally do not view Alan Hurwitz as a person who will create any real Deaf-centered change at Gallaudet, or in the Deaf community or outside of it. I suspect that we may never be able to have a real Deaf-centered President of Gallaudet, and I explain why here.

I strongly agree with you. I always look forward to having a Deaf centered President of Gallaudet and would want to have Roz Rosen to run Gallaudet U. I do hope Alan Hurwitz would be willing to change the shift from audi-centered to visual-centered within 5 years from present. Would he face or challange or change International Congress on the Education of the Deaf (ICED) this July 2010? Would he write a formal letter for requesting ICED to face the front of world for failing Deaf Education system around the world? I have two letters from Canadian Association of Deaf (CAD) and Ontario Association of the Deaf (OAD). I can send you after OAD meeting on Nov 21 and need to approve that letter before to the opening of public. Can you give me your email addy? cheer…
